It's just a blog away...

It’s Sunday evening. There are three days until I leave for NYC with Heather. I’ve been very busy during the last week, starting with Homecoming weekend. Plymouth weather has always been unpredictable, even with their state-of-the-art weather center. Perhaps the real problem is no one pays attention to the forecast…

Friday night was bitter cold. After an exciting evening of 174 subs, poetry, and live music, it was time for the real fun to begin. (Actually, it never really began, but I’m working on that, don’t you worry. Thank you Masse!!)
I caught up with alumni at Jigger Johnson’s, and then headed off to a swinging party at Masse’s. Among the highlights were:

1. Shots with Heather S.
2. Heather going ghetto on a stranger for spitting on her
3. Heather’s imitation of Couter
4. Couter’s head over the railing
5. Make-out fest 2002.
6. The beer from Quebec that came from Connecticut
7. I think his name was Pete….
8. Andy, the shutter bug, with MY camera

The next day I awoke, hung-over, to the electricity being out and two inches of snow on the ground. Good thing I didn’t have to be up for another three hours…so I went back to bed. When I woke up again, it was sleeting, my stomach still felt sloshy, and Greg was coming over to visit before we went down to the football game. So, I drank water, showered and had toast.

I met Sniper and Jeremy at the field and we walked around the alumni tents looking for ‘people’ then finally decided to get out of the sleet and grab lunch at 174. Buffalo chicken calzones weren’t what my stomach wanted, but that’s what it got, and we dealt with that just fine. Then it was back to the game (we hadn’t missed anything) we lost 35-7…or something), and then I went over to Cat’s for hot chocolate and warmth. We watched a movie, went to the grocery store to make a purchase, for a swap for the evening’s entertainment, and then had people over to order Chinese food. Couter was nice enough to go with me to pick up Fran (so I could scope out the bars for ‘people’), and we ended up at the Beehive (theater house, don’t ask), then back to Cat’s for another movie and relaxing. Mmmmm…relaxing.

Sunday morning we woke up late to a beautiful fall day, changed the clocks and watched the rest of the movie from the night before. We had cookies for breakfast and met up with our group for lunch at one o’clock (By this time, they sky was filled with thick black clouds) Thanks to Jimmy, who tipped me off on a soccer game, I was headed down to the PE Center again for one last scope out. Unfortunately I headed home a little disappointed. I didn’t reach my goal, but now I have a new goal…. thank you Masse and DJ, and I’ll be putting that plan into action in the next few weeks. However, I had a great time hanging out with my friends. I love getting together with the PSC gang-- never a dull moment, and thanks to Andy, I have a number of our moments captured on film.
